Itinéraire
Departure from Chambéry via the A43 to Albertville, then the N90 up the Tarentaise valley to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. From Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 30 minutes through the valley to Val d'Isère. The road above 2,000 m may be temporarily closed in extreme conditions, Crew monitors weather bulletins and snow-clearing schedules.

Long season: late November to early May, one of the longest in the Alps. Winter conditions are demanding: black ice, closed passes, frequent traffic restrictions. Crew masters every access, every alternative, every snow-clearing window. In the off-season, check road openings before departure.
